KITT2 Research Library Statistics Database

Service description

The National Library of Finland’s support for the KITT2 statistics database has ended. The last joint statistics were published in May 2021.

The Research Library Statistics Database’s seasons 2002–2020 will remain available for browsing and searching in its current address https://yhteistilasto.lib.helsinki.fi/?lang=en until the end of 2022.

Yearly statistics describing the operation of Finnish scientific libraries were recorded in the Research Library Statistics Database KITT2. KITT2 contains statistics of university and polytechnic libraries as well as a few special libraries from 2002 until its year of termination 2020. The data will be available for browsing until the end of 2022. The National Library of Finland was responsible for the maintenance and development of the database and the data content was produced by each library. The statistics followed the international library statistics standard ISO 2789. The information in the database was compiled according to common criteria and was comparable.
