Date published
The Library Network Services function of the National Library of Finland will leave its facilities at the old Elanto bakery in Sörnäinen (Kaikukatu 4) by the end of January. We are moving into the Fabiania building, located within excellent traffic connections on the National Library premises in central Helsinki.

As of 28 January 2019, our new visiting address is Yliopistonkatu 1, and our postal address is PO Box 15 (Unioninkatu 36), 00014 University of Helsinki. Our email addresses and phone numbers will remain unchanged.

For our new location on the map, see.

Around 100 specialists of the Library Network Services are relocating to the historical nineteenth-century building of Fabiania which has been used by the National Library of Finland for the past 20 years. The recently completed façade renovation gave Fabiania a new pink face, and its interior has been remodelled as modern office space.

The National Library Network Services provides shared services and materials to all Finnish libraries, museums and archives. Our services include, for example, the search and platform service Finna, the national metadata repository Melinda, and the Finnish Thesaurus and Ontology Service Finto. Our FinELib office negotiates and manages the acquisition of electronic materials for libraries. As of 28 January 2019, all of our training and meetings will be organised at our new location.

We warmly welcome you to attend our events in Fabiania!
