The National Library of Finland digitised 3,124,655 pages of resources, of which the majority – over 2.9 million pages – were newspapers. Journals accounted for just under 40,000 pages and books for just over 175,000 pages. Sound recordings were digitised on some 6,000 CDs.

Newspapers have consistently been the most used digitised resource, comprising about 50% of total use. The figure for journals was 31%, and for books, 8%. 

The most read book in 2022 was Minna Canth’s Anna-Liisa. The most read journal was the Vyborg City address book and commercial directory of 1929; the most read piece of ephemera was the 1928 catalogue of products manufactured by the Billnäs Forge. The most popular newspaper was Hufvudstadsbladet.
