Book scanner at the Slavonic Library

An overhead book scanner is available for use in the facilities of the Slavonic Library at the National Library of Finland. Scans created with the device can be stored on a USB flash drive or sent to an email address. In the latter case, it is recommended that only a few pages be sent at a time because the files may be large.

The device is easy to use and protects books from the wear and tear of copying. If the material to be scanned is old or brittle, please contact a member of staff before scanning. The book scanner can be used free of charge.
