Unobstructed entrance, Yliopistonkatu 1, through the courtyard.

The concert by the mixed Academic Choral Society is part of the multidisciplinary Science of Singing symposium focused on research concerning singing. The concert challenges the listeners to consider their identity through sung words and non-verbal sounds. Alongside the choral music researchers Dr. Josephine Hoegaerts and Anna Martta Seppänen give small talks on the theme of identity: how do we shape our self-understanding, both with words and without them?

The music of the concert is composed by Alex Freeman (1972*), Murray Schafer (1933*), Paul Hindemith (1895-1963) and Morten Lauridsen (1943*)

The concert is bilingual. Speeches and programme are in English and in Finnish.

Free entry. Programme leaflet 10 €.
