Collection description

The Periodicals Collection of the National Collection contains periodicals published in Finland received as legal deposit copies from the early-1800s to today. The collection include tens of thousands of different titles and it covers the whole field of Finnish periodical publication activities from general magazines to specialised journals.

  • The collection has been described in the reference database
The collection is for the most part catalogued into the Fennica database. However, some of the older periodicals (up until 1977) with their location data is only available in the card index of the National Collection, which is available for customers at the 2nd floor of Fabiania.
