Collection description

The Heikki A. Reenpää Library is a donated collection received from Professor Heikki A. Reenpää in 2004. The library consists of around 20,000 titles, mainly of old literature in Finnish and Swedish from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Reenpää Library complements other collections of the National Library and supplements it with various variants. The collection contains a large selection of, for example, Bibles and other ecclesiastical works, almanacs, acts and degrees as well as dissertations from the Royal Academy of Turku and foreign rarity books. The more recent section of the library includes more modern Finnish fiction and poetry.
