The collection of Foreign Literature of the sixteenth century includes books printed outside Finland in the 16th century. These were separated from the Humanities Collection starting in the 1970s. The collection contains around 3,000 titles and covers several different fields of sciences and literature types. Literature from the sixteenth century can be found in other collections, too (see parallel collections). Most of the collection is in Latin.
