Brummeriana is an extensive and valuable collection of literature for children and young people. In includes around 20,000 titles from the 16th century to modern days.
In addition to Finnish materials, Brummeriana contains a large amount of European children's literature as well as some items from Asia and Africa. In addition to the books, the collection has children's magazines, comics, alphabet books, Christmas magazines and calendars and games.
The Brummeriana Collection was collected by Professor Markus Brummer-Korvenkontio in accordance with bibliophilic principles, and the Helsinki University Library bought it from him in the beginning of 21st century.
