In conjunction with the What Could Kill the Book? exhibition, pupils from the upper secondary schools of Vaskivuori and Herttoniemi Coeducational School asked famous Finns to list their most beloved books. Chef-author-translator Sami Garam listed such works as Der Struwwelpeter by Heinrich Hoffman, and comic artist
Kaisa Leka the graphic novel Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. University of Helsinki Chancellor Ilkka Niiniluoto named Helmi Krohn’s children’s book Hipsuvarvas autiolla saarella as a childhood favourite.
